HGC CONSULTING PLUS

Doris Hektor, PhD, is the founder and president of HGC Consulting Plus, a firm that specializes in training practitioners and advising senior leaders. She has more than 30 years of experience in legal, risk management, and compliance. She started her career as an attorney with the international law firm Clifford Chance, working in their London, U.K., and Frankfurt, Germany, offices. After several years, she went in-house and worked for multinational blue-chip banking and financial institutions—including J.P.Morgan Investment Managers, JPMorgan Chase, American Express, AXA Investment Managers, and Encore Capital—on a U.S. domestic and global basis.

Initially based in Frankfurt, Germany, Hektor relocated to New York City, USA, in 2006, where she worked on Wall Street for more than 10 years before moving to the western part of the country. She successfully designed and implemented global anti-money laundering/OFAC/sanctions and anti-corruption programs. She currently works for Snap Finance, a fintech that works with bank partners.

On top of the equivalent of a JD, Hektor has a PhD in law from Saarland University in Germany and is admitted as an attorney to the higher courts of Germany. She is a speaker and thought leader in the arena of global OFAC sanctions and other compliance topics.
